Frequently Asked Questions

Cowal Gathering is a fun, family event.
To make it enjoyable and safe for everyone, we have answered our most frequently asked questions below:
- Please don’t bring alcohol into the stadium. We’re not licensed for this and it will be confiscated. There are several bars in the stadium which offer a great range of reasonably priced alcoholic drinks.
- You are welcome to bring a picnic into the event, however we have a fantastic variety of food outlets available across the site.
- We’ll refuse admission to anyone who appears to have had too much to drink and to overly rowdy groups.
- For everyone’s safety we have private stewards and a police presence within the stadium. Please treat them with respect and follow any instructions given. They’ll remove any individuals or groups from within the stadium who’ve had too much to drink or are being disruptive and disorderly.
- Please don’t use a barbeque within the stadium or the car/bus parks next to the stadium. It’s a fire risk and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and Strathclyde Police will enforce these restrictions.
- We do allow dogs in the stadium, but ask that you keep them on a lead at all times and clean up after them. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that the stadium can be extremely busy and noisy and not all dogs are happy in this environment.
- We have limited car parking available on the Thursday and Friday on a first come first served basis. To park at Cowal Gathering 2026 it will be £10 and you can pay via cash or card. Access is via the concourse just outside the Stadium and our stewards will direct you to where to go. There will be limited blue badge parking available as well.
- All of our dancing competitors numbers are posted out to our UK competitors. Any of our overseas competitors can pick their numbers up at the Stadium, or at the Cowal Gathering office on Hillfoot St, Dunoon, up until Wednesday at 5pm.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office on 01369 703 206 or info@cowalgathering.com
Other than the above we want everyone to come and thoroughly enjoy their ’Cowal’ experience. A great day out for all the family.
